Tatyana Firova sanctioned by IOC after Beijing 2008 sample reanalysis

Tatyana Firova has had her results from the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games disqualified after reanalysis of the Russian sprinter’s samples from the event resulted in a positive test for banned substances.
The 33-year-old formed part of the silver medal-winning Russian 4x400m relay team in Beijing but the team has already been stripped of their medals after team-member Anastasia Kapachinskaya also failed a drugs test on reanalysis.
