Rio Paralympics: Ones to watch

The GB athletics team goes into the Rio Paralympics full of confidence. In London 2012 29 medals were won, including 11 golds. At the 2015 World Championships in Doha the haul was 32, including 13 golds. At the 2016 European Championships in Grosseto, Italy, GB took 15 golds and a total of no fewer than 56 medals.
To put this into context, at the Rio Olympics there were 47 medal events in athletics. At the Paralympics there will be 177.
That is a reduction from the 212 in the 2015 IPC World Championships, which had 30 different 100m races in 16 different classifications for men and 14 for women.
