Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has attacked the “embarrassing” motives behind the sting operation which led to Sam Allardyce losing his job as England manager.
Allardyce stepped down from his role with the national side after being secretly filmed discussing the possibility of avoiding the Football Association’s rules on third-party ownership by undercover reporters working for the Daily Telegraph.
