Dyke: Allardyce was stupid

Former FA chairman Greg Dyke says Sam Allardyce was “stupid” to allow himself to be exposed by a newspaper sting and believes his predecessor Roy Hodgson would not have made the same mistake.
Allardyce left his position as England manager on Tuesday evening after just 67 days in the role following allegations he discussed how to circumvent the FA’s rules on player transfers.
The video footage released by The Daily Telegraph also appeared to show Allardyce attempting to negotiate a £400,000 deal, mocking Hodgson’s speech impediment and also accusing the FA of being “all about making money”.
