Puig benched for not hustling out of box

LOS ANGELES — Yasiel Puig’s night ended early before the Dodgers’ 8-2 win over the Reds on Tuesday night, as he was removed for disciplinary reasons as his team took the field to begin the seventh inning.
Puig was benched for not running out an RBI single in the sixth inning. Thinking he hit a home run, Puig lingered near the plate after the hitting a line drive into right field for what should have been a double.
