Hammel exits after 2 innings with leg issue

Cubs starter Jason Hammel exited Monday’s series opener against the Dodgers after appearing to injure his right leg while warming up before the top of the third inning during a scoreless game.
After talking with Cubs manager Joe Maddon and a trainer, and attempting to throw some more warmup pitches, Hammel walked off the field. Travis Wood replaced him on the mound.
