David Rudisha to challenge world 600m record in Birmingham

Diamond League
After a mix-up at the start ruined his chances on his 2016 Diamond League debut in Eugene, David Rudisha is keen to show he is back in the shape of his life when he makes a rare appearance over 600m at the Birmingham Diamond League on Sunday.
The world 800m record-holder was fifth in Shanghai after he and other runners weren’t ready when the gun went off.
He could make amends if at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham tomorrow he breaks the world record of 1:12.81 run by Johnny Gray in 1986.
