Urias staying in Dodgers’ rotation for now

LOS ANGELES — After some discussion among the front office, Julio Urias will make a third start on Tuesday against the Rockies in what will be his Dodger Stadium debut.
The 19-year-old lefty scuffled in the first starts of his big league career, allowing a total of eight earned runs against the Mets and Cubs and not lasting past the fifth inning in either start. While those results are nowhere close to ideal, he still showed enough of the stuff that made him the No. 2 prospect in baseball to give him another shot.
“It’s more of the way he was throwing the ball,” manager Dave Roberts said. “He didn’t get the results he would have liked his first two starts, but the way the ball comes out, the way he competes and handled himself in New York and Chicago, we want to see him again. We want to get another look at him and give him another opportunity.”
