Lee joins England coaching staff

Sammy Lee has rejoined the England coaching staff – with Sam Allardyce insisting his appointment is one of many to follow in the near future.
Lee worked under Allardyce at Bolton from September 2005, having occupied a role in Sven Goran Eriksson’s backroom team at that point.
He was later offered the national U21 manager’s position but turned it down and left the England set-up after five years.
Lee has also worked at Liverpool and was most recently at Southampton working with Ronald Koeman but did not follow him when he left for Everton.
The 57-year-old was present at Allardyce’s first news conference as England manager on Monday morning.
