Headley dealing with sore Achilles

ANAHEIM — Yankees third baseman Chase Headley has been dealing with Achilles tendinitis for a week, but it isn’t expected to be a long-term concern.
Headley was out of the lineup for Friday’s series opener at Angel Stadium, but Yankees manager Joe Girardi said a day off following the team’s off-day on Thursday should be the only time Headley has to miss.
“It’s been bothering him for a while, so I figured if I could give him two days here, yesterday and today, maybe it knocks it out,” Girardi said.
